I have worked as a self-employed translator since 2012. Much of my work has consisted of translating editorial copy for Het Financieele Dagblad, the Netherlands’ financial daily newspaper, and texts explaining a wide variety of EU laws and policies to the general public.
I translate from English to Dutch and from Dutch to English. I work together with other translators to achieve the highest quality and to ensure continuity. I have built long-term relationships with most of my clients.
Your story’s worth it is my motto and I aim to combine outstanding texts with a sociable, motivated, resourceful and committed way of doing business. Thanks to my analytical skills and eager-to-learn nature, I could become your valuable partner in translation and related editorial work.

I love languages and besides being competent in a number of Western European languages, I have picked up a few words in Swahili and Mandarin Chinese.
Previous experience includes positions as an economic researcher, a policy advisor at the national government level and positions as design editor in the newsrooms of various national newspapers and magazines. I have a Master’s degree in economics and a Bachelor’s degree in translation.
